Do you have a family member or friend struggling to overcome a life-dominating relational issue? Or perhaps they have decided to firmly embrace an identity or set of behaviors that you understand to be outside of God’s purpose and design. Whatever the case, your feelings can become overwhelming. It can be hard to know how to best love your friend or family member while still standing for the truth of God’s Word and design. You are not alone!
At Outpost, we believe God has given us a set of support groups and classes to help you encounter God and hear what God has to say about you and your situation. We also believe these are tools God uses to help us walk in the balance of loving well while standing firm for truth.
If you are ready to get involved, or if you just want more information, contact us in the office. All participants must complete an introduction meeting with a ministry staff member and take our Foundations course before attending any groups or classes.

Support for Family Members and Friends
And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, and he will go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared.
Luke 1:16-17
Elijah Company is a support group for parents, families and friends of loved ones who are overcoming unwanted same-sex attractions, who struggle with their identity as a man or woman, or who identify as LGBTQ+.
This group combines worship, teaching and small-group prayer ministry to equip participants to love wisely and stand firmly on the solid rock of God’s Word. Meetings focus on praying for one another, with the goal of family restoration, healing and reconciliation. The group is designed to build an authentic community of intercessors and to create a place of refuge, support and encouragement.
1-on-1 Discipleship and Mentoring
We have pastoral and ministry staff members who are experienced in mentoring others in their Christian walk. Whether you are craving deeper biblical discipleship and inner-healing, wanting extra help in overcoming an addiction, praying through past wounds, needing marital advice where one or more spouse is struggling with their sexual behaviors, or seeking general life coaching, we would love to connect with you.
This ministry is subject to staff availability.
Classes for Family Members and Friends
Living Waters is an 18-week Christ-centered program for those seeking healing and freedom from fear, shame, insecurity, self-hatred, boundary issues, unforgiveness, abuse, sexual addiction, and other relational brokenness. Worship, teaching, prayer and small groups help participants to work through pain that is still impacting their lives today. The Living Waters curriculum is produced by our partner ministry, Desert Stream Ministries.
We offer Living Waters once a year, usually starting in mid-September and ending in mid-March, with time off for the December holidays. This class is a closed group; once it begins, no new participants will be accepted for that year’s program. There is an application process each summer, which helps our leaders plan and prepare for the specific folks who will be participating.
CrossCurrent
CrossCurrent is an 8-week Christ-centered class for those seeking truth and grace in their sexuality and relationships. Each meeting includes worship, prayer, and teachings. Topics covered include:
- Unfailing Love
- Getting Real: Jesus and the Real Self
- The Cross and The False Self
- The Cross and Renewal
- Getting Healed: How Jesus Bears Our Wounds
- Becoming Secure in the Father’s Love
- Loving Others
- Beyond Brokenness
Discipleship Intensive
This summer intensive is a 10-week course for anyone wanting to grow closer to Jesus by committing one day a week to encountering God. The course is open to anyone: young, old, spiritually mature, spiritually struggling, and anything in-between. Each meeting day consists of individual and corporate worship, extended times of prayer, one-on-one discipleship, teaching, and volunteer service.
An introduction interview and completion of Foundations is needed to participate, so please contact us by May to prepare.
