Our History
The Twin Cities Justice House of Prayer (TCJHOP) was founded in 2016 to bring together three like-minded organizations joined in a single purpose. We offer a place for people to meet with God, respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and walk daily empowered by the Holy Spirit. We offer teaching, encouragement, and support to individuals, families and churches impacted by all forms of relational brokenness, with a goal of restoring families to one another. We are located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area of Minnesota, but our ministry reaches throughout the Upper Midwest.
Mission and Vision
We are here to:
- Encounter God.
- Equip the Church.
- Establish outposts of restorative community.
In other words, our Mission is:
“To love God, declare freedom, and establish outposts of restoration for the sexually and relationally broken Body of Christ.”
Our Vision is:
“To see vibrant worship arise from the broken-hearted as they seek wholeness, are transformed, and bless the larger Body of Christ”
Core Values
As we work to embody this mission and vision, we rely on our four core values. These values are what we use to guide all we do in the ministry.
- Honor: Treating everyone with respect as an Image Bearer.
- Humility: Being quick to admit wrongs and weaknesses. Reminding ourselves we are dependent on Christ and His grace.
- Honesty: Always speaking truthfully and authentically. No false promises or guarantees.
- Healing: A consistent process on this side of eternity. With humility and honesty we admit we are still works in process and always moving towards greater healing and wholeness individually and relationally.
Transformation
Transformation is the power of God’s Spirit at work in us, making us more like Christ, to the glory of the Father.
Note: Please don’t hear ‘transformation’ and think we are talking about merely a change in behavior or desires. Someone can experience true transformation and have remaining temptation. Yet they may also be able to live beyond that temptation in a renewed sense of identity as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
We are about the transformation of beliefs about God, self, and others. Transformation of beliefs will change our sense of identity, which then can change our behavior, both what we do and even what we desire to do/not do.
No Hate
We hold a “no hate” belief and value. Every person we encounter is made in the Image of God and should be treated with respect. Derogatory and hateful speech directed toward other human beings (aka image-bearers) has no place in our ministry.
